On March 7, the Beijing Climate Center (BCC) released a report which said that in the winter of 2022/2023, the national average temperature was generally high, with large fluctuations. The spatial distribution of precipitation across the country was uneven, with more precipitation in North China and less in Southwest China.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) began its meeting today to approve the Synthesis Report to the Sixth Assessment Report. The session, taking place in Interlaken, Switzerland, is scheduled to run until 17 March.

On January 11, World Meteorological Centre (WMC-BJ) and National Center of Meteorology of Saudi Arabia (NCM) Technical Meeting was held online and offline. Participants exchanged views on topics like sand and dust storm forecasting, disastrous weather monitoring and forecasting, weather modification technology and so on.
On December 13, the thirteenth Session of the Joint Working Group on cooperation in the field of meteorological science and technology between China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of Vietnam was held online. Both sides reviewed the implementation of bilateral cooperative projects since the JWG-12.
